National Sibling Sexual Abuse Conference for Frontline Sectors – Was delivered on Wednesday 2, February 2022, 9:30am-3:45pm (Online)

Sibling sexual abuse is considered to be the most prevalent form of child sexual abuse in UK homes and more common than sexual abuse by parents or adult carers.  This conference is designed to share national best practice on supporting children, young people, adult victim-survivors and families affected by sibling sexual abuse.

This conference aims to build professional confidence in and knowledge of sibling sexual abuse, enabling appropriate and effective responses to this abuse across different sectors. It will share national best practice, guidance and advice.

The conference was organised by the Rape Crisis England & Wales (RCEW) sibling sexual abuse national project, which is funded by the Home Office and Ministry of Justice. It wass tailored for those working in frontline sectors, meaning any sector which is public or patient facing.
